One simple rule changes everything. Here's everything you need to know.
Your players only earn fantasy points when their team plays another Power 4 opponent. If their team plays a non-P4 school that week โ it's a Fantasy Bye.
* League commissioners can customize scoring. Stats only count for P4 vs P4 games.
Power 4 refers to the four major college football conferences: ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, and SEC. These 68 teams represent the elite tier of college football. Only players from these teams are eligible to score in Play Pylon.
A Fantasy Bye happens when your player's team plays a non-Power 4 opponent that week (e.g., Alabama vs. a lower-division school). Your player earns 0 fantasy points that week โ but you're not penalized. It's just like a regular NFL bye week, except the cause is their opponent, not their schedule.
Yes! College Football Playoff games, conference championship games, and bowl games all count โ as long as both teams are Power 4. If a P4 team faces a non-P4 team in a bowl game, it's a Fantasy Bye.
Notre Dame joined the ACC as a full member in 2024, so they are P4 eligible. Their games against other P4 teams count normally.
Boise State (Mountain West) is not P4 eligible. Cincinnati joined the Big 12 in 2023, so they ARE eligible. Always check the conference label in the draft room.
Play Pylon uses standard fantasy football scoring. Passing TDs = 4 pts, rushing/receiving TDs = 6 pts, etc. The only difference: stats only count for P4 vs P4 games. Your league commissioner can customize scoring settings.
Your league plays on regardless. If multiple players on your roster have Fantasy Byes the same week, you'll need to use waiver wire pickups to fill your lineup โ just like managing bye weeks in NFL fantasy.
Create a league, draft your Power 4 roster, and find out who really knows college football.
